YOUBI DESIGN is a Sapporo-based interior coordination and lifestyle brand founded by Tomomi Mita — an interior coordinator, bilingual marketing professional, and magazine writer with over a decade of experience in design and international communication.
The name comes from yō no bi (用の美) — a Japanese philosophy that finds beauty not in decoration, but in function. Things made to be used, and loved. Spaces that make daily life feel better, not just look better.
I work primarily with international clients who own or are buying property in Hokkaido — people who want a space that feels genuinely theirs, but need someone on the ground who speaks both languages, literally and culturally.
Every project is different. Some clients know exactly what they want and need someone to execute it. Others are starting from scratch and need help thinking it through. Either way, I'm here for the whole process.
